Things are going to change, and soon. This is not a prediction of a political shift, it is a prediction of a mental one. We have a society that has focused on the left brain way of thinking. We have taught our children to focus on left brain thinking and they will be rewarded with money and power. These are the people who have been successful in this world, people that focus on facts and figures.

The dreamers have been repressed, the mystic and the profit. The artistic has some monetary value as long as a left brained person can understand it. Music, though a combination of right and left brained, has a meter and vibration and is all so mathematically logical. these things are valued in our current society.

What if we valued right brained things, Art, mysticism, self knowledge, large world view thinking?

Well guess what, it is coming, that giant change that will shake the foundations of the earth. we will see it come down and change everyones way of thinking. it is like the 100th monkey theory. Finally enough forward thinking people will tip the scales and it will all start to change. I am not sure when, but is is soon, and by soon i mean in the next 100 to 200 years.

Better pull out that meditation book, read a book on how to achieve inner peace, read the bible, the I-Ching, Koran, Torah, whatever spiritual book speaks to you, and get ready, or you will be left in the dust. Don't read it as the literal truth, but as spiritual truth, and I hope you can grasp it.

Good Luck with that, and f you need help, drop me a line, I have a few good ideas, but turn off any notions as to what it all means, it is unlikely that my thoughts are anything like what you have read or heard before.

Republicans are forward thinking

I have recently been thinking on the population problem and I finally realize that the only party doing anything about it is the republicans. By population problem I am referring to the massive doubling of the number of people on this planet. It will happen, we will run out of: Oil, water, power, food supplies, infrastructure, land to grow stuff on, ect. It will run out, sooner rather than later. Current consumption of fossil fuels is so rapid, we are unlikely to make it 1 more generation before we run out. In plain terms, My kids will see a time when there is NO OIL, NO WATER, and NO FOOD, for all the people on this planet. It is about resource management, and we are just not doing it.

Now most people would say that the democrats are doing stuff about this. they are trying to get us health care, solar power, renewable resources, power out of the hands of the few, into the hands of the many. Well I hate to say it but they are not successful. The Republicans have a plan in place for when these things occur, in fact they are depending on it to happen.

The plan is to use ALL the resources we have, all the food, all the water, all the cheep energy (basically how I look at power currently is using the power of the sun, shined down on this planet in all the years it has been here, but it was stored) We are going to burn all those resources and what will we have left? Starvation, Hunger, no power for heat, no health care for the sick, no money to help the poor... ie, finally a drop in the population of the world.

They will do the same thing they do with a company to make money, spend it's money on themselves and their friends, fire it's people to raise the stock price and sell when it is best for them, and abandon the company (and usually get a bonus from the stockholders for making them so much money). They will enrich themselves, make sure they will be in charge of what little resources we have left, and Fuck the rest of the world out of a decent place to live. They will have everything that is left, and still live a great life, while the rest of us will die, sick, hungry, poor, and miserable. And they win. The game is rigged, and it has been in the works for generations, and it is a closed party, and frankly, we are just not invited.

political stuff

Ok yall, I have not posted for quite a while, but I thought I would try this thing again. As many of you know I am a very liberal minded and opinionated person. Many times I hold off on such talk to save myself arguments, unless I find a like minded person. But I think I will spout on here, and if you don't like what I say on such matters, you can not read the blog.

This whole debate about the lady in Arizona, her getting shot, it being blamed on the violent talk of the political people, and the media hyping the whole thing, caused a confused youth to shoot her and many more, it kind of misses the point.

A lot of people are pissed the political talk has passed by their issues. they are pissed about their lack of money, health care, access to good jobs, education, clean water, religious disagreements, taxes, or basically just the control of their life. In a nut shell, everyone is pissed, everyone is not happy, everyone wants it different. Some want it better for all and some want it better for themselves. we just want to raise our family, and have resources to make their life better than our own. and if you take away these things, then all they get is talk of change, but never change that will impact their life, they will get mad, they will get violent and eventually (especially if you do give them access to guns) will fight back.

I am not saying he was right to attack a group of innocents, or even her. but he felt cornered and felt that it was all just talk and nothing was getting better, and he took the quick way out. We need change, not talk, not inflaming speech, CHANGE! and the whole Obama change thing has just not happened because he got in there and had the harsh reality of politics pointed out. Even your own party, that agrees with you on most topics, will not vote your way, because they are bought and sold to the highest bidder and unless you have money to pay them off they will not vote on anything you want. outright bribery (or making them scared about being reelected) is the only thing that will get them to pass ANYTHING.

Makes me sad. I will have a more pointed political rant in the future, but basic gist, no policy will change unless we have money to bribe, or we stand up as a people and throw these bastards out.

Scouting and Life

Hi everyone,
Another update finaly, long overdue. First I did not make the band, never herd a thing from em', which is fine. they were older than me and did drugs and stuff, not what I am into. So I placed a Ad on cragslist, and have recieved a few responces. I am going to be writeing them all and letting them know that I am now out of the rock band thing. Beth signed up to be the new Bear den leader, so now she is going to lead Skylers den. So I have a den, she has a den and we will most likely not be on the same night. So you add that in, and add roundtables, camping, school, work, working out, training, and all the other things we do, and you come up with no time for the band. I am going to try with one group, and if it is ment to be, then they will bring me in and ill do that. Basicaly i am leaving it in gods hands. If he wants me to make music, then ill do it.
Well that is about it for now. More updates once scouting gets going.

Band Audition and Life

So I went and played with Toby and Dave from Organic edge. I felt that I did well, but my best stuff was when the amp was too quiet.... dang it. Anyway, they kept it close to the chest, and did not lead on or anything, I am one of at least 3 I know of trying for this band. So even though I did that I am also sending out E-mails to other people that have posted add's on craig's list and all that. if they were not for me then the right one will come along.

So there is that, tomarow is beer qaround the world with some friends I have met up here. always good to have friends you can hang with. So that is about it for now. More soon.

Busy beavers

So it has been a few weeks since my last post, so I figured I should throw something down. So I have been working, as usual, just to keep food on the table. I am still pleased with my work life, it is a job, and there have been a few bumps in the road, nothing abnormal for a tech to go through, and those have been overcome. I am getting used to the differences in Ikon and Ricoh.
The boys are having a good summer, but are ready to go back to school, or at least Skyler is since he told me just a few minutes ago. I guess having fun all the time gets old. I would love 3 months to watch TV, play games, and vacation, but that is just me.
SO I am auditioning for a band called "Organic Edge". That is supposed to happen today or early this week. I am hopeful that I make this band, but if it does not then the right one will come along. ether way I'll get a chance to jam with other people, and that sounds like fun! Well I'll try and get on here and post whether I get it.

KY in the summer

Hey yall,

Back up in KY for a week, then a trip to Michigan. Good stuff. The kids are currently going to camp Invention, a 1 week camp where they will invent something, and they have a show at the end of the week. Then a trip for the whole family up to Michigan to catch up with family and friends. If you are in MI and want to see us, just give us a call or write, and we will try and make it by. We have a TON of people to see while visiting, cuz it has been 3 years plus since we have been in the Clarkston area. We will also be visiting Kalamazoo and then Elkheart on this trip on the last few days. Gone from home from the 13th - the 21st. Return home just in time for summer solstice. Whoo-hoo. Hope I get to see more friends. Best log off, I am writing this at work and I dont feel like I am being productive.

Hey yall,

Well here I am in Atlanta, on a buisness trip to learn a new copier. This beast is a 100cpm (copy per minute) full color copier that can make 50 page books, staple sort, fold and generaly do whatever you need it to do. Cool copier and is currently at the bargan price of only 120k dollers. So That is what I am doing, tonight hanging at the hotel, had a good dinner and finaly have a chance to update this blog.

I went to Dalton GA this weekend and on the way down and had a chance to hang and chat with a heck of a lot of good friends. Got to Jam, go Bowling, fishing and had some great meals and some wonderfull times. I hope i get a chance soon to see all of you again. I will be crusing through on my way back to Lexington this weekend, but will not have much time to hang.

Once I return home the boys will be out of school, and will be starting there week of camp the next monday. I have one week of work, then a week of vacation. For my vacation I am going to be visiting Michigan for the first time in 3 years. Book the partys now. I will on that trip have my wife and kids with me. I will be at my folks a few days, at my wifes folks a few days, visiting Kalamazoo for a day or so and then down to Elkheart for a day or so. A lot of driving in a few weeks, but heck, I am nationwide. I am haveing a wonderfull time since my move to Lexington and things in most of my life are going just as I intended. Things are looking up for me and my family, and will continue to do so for the forseable future. Greetings and salutations,

OK so here it is a few months into our move here to Lexington, this is what is going on. First Work is great, they do tend to micromanage everyone, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I keep getting paid, which I like, My medical benefits will start in a week and my relocation bonus came through. Good stuff there. Direct deposit set up, bills organised and planed out when to pay what.
The kids are in one of the best schools in the whole town, I am attempting to buy a house in the school district but I am limited to just a few neighborhoods. the others in this schools range are 250k and up. weird being the most broke parents at the school, but both me and my wife have been through that before since we came from Clarkston MI.
I finally got my Bass repaired, now I just need to find someone to jam with. I will eventually, first i need a amp because mine was sold, and the other one is too far away (Michigan) I may be going to the UU church, I may have convinced my wife to attend there, but this next Sunday is a go and the leave quick, she wants to hit a open house. Cool stuff.
Last thing, I will be attending class on a color copier in GA instead of St. Louis, and this time from May 28Th - June 5Th. I may visit Dalton on the 27Th as I drive down, on the night of the 29Th through Sunday afternoon on the 1st. Call and book me for YOUR party, and i will show up. I am also looking for a place to sleep those nights. Hope everything is going well with all of you. Shalom.

Getting used to it

Hey everyone,
We are moved in, Kids have a school, we will have libary cards tonight, it is almost like we live here now. So getting used to Lexington, wonderfull town, and learning how to navigate around the city and the surounding areas. I had a chance to visit the American Leagion Man o war post 8 and submit my transfer to there ranks. I will likely be visiting and helping out with there bingo night once a month or so, and have been invited to show up and play with the rock band that jams out 8 - 10 every friday. May just take them up on that. I am planing on visiting a Egyptian culture exibit tonight with the family, it is free on fridays from 5 - 8 so we will go down there and check it out. Then we will grab dinner, and then hit the libary if we have time. This weekend, I am hopeing to take the fam to the UU church for sunday service. Bout all I have for now, I had a minute to update this thing and took it. Now I need to catch some lunch, hit a service call, and then study some more, I am a few hours into 6 hours of training on the new production 90cpm color copier that Ricoh has developed. I have to go to training on it out in St. Louis may 7th - the 15th. a weekend in St. Louis with nothing to do, (unless I start Geocacheing again that is) Have a great weekend everyone.

Moveing Day

So today is my last day of work this week, I have friday off. I am suppost to go to Dalton GA tonight (once my Bro-in-law gets here) and pack up the house and move the family here this weekend. He is bringing his truck up here, and then rideing down with me. Should be a good night. If anyone wants to say goodby or wants to help, we will be loading the truck in Dalton starting at 9 am on saterday. And we should be unloading up here in Lexington that night. We will see. New Friends

He all, I am going to go out for a few beers after work today at Old Chicago with Brian who I met at UU church this weekend. Looking forward to hanging with someone, where I can be myself and not have to edit myself like I have to do at work. Then it is back to the appt for whatever. I just did not sleep that well yesterday and i am not sure why. Wondering if I should go back to GA this weekend and help with the move, or just wait till next week. I did just get the 20th off so I can get down there on friday and get working a day before the truck shows up. I guess Jake is comeing up the day before so he can drop off his pick-up truck, and then we drive down to Dalton on friday morning. hope that all works out, since I dont have a bed for him to sleep on I hope he brings his matress in so he has somewhere to sleep. Anyway, looking forward to tonight and hanging with a michigander, and one that is not so big on a religious trip he is afraid to have a few drinks. ;) I will try and post more sometime in the next few days. Working Fool

Hey all,

Currently at work, doing what is called EDGE training, ie. learning to use my handheld to poen and close calls and all the other functions it can do. VERY BORING! I am definitaly haveing trouble staying awake. I guess I will be working on this most of the day, until I complete it. So yay. I had a decent weekend, I did enjoy the UU church yesterday, but i am not suppost to "make any commitments" without my wife in tow. She is hesitant to commit to anything, where I tend to jump in with both feet without looking. There is something to be said for both methods. Namily mine is right and hers is not. LOL. No, we do ballance each other out quite well, But I am just looking to meet some decent people. But when I am lonley and alone I am accualy not a very good judge of good people. I would befriend a ax muderer, if he/she would be willing to let me ramble on and ocasionaly nod there head at me. Basicaly I am looking for a warm body to talk to.
I cant realy befriend any of my new co workers, best not share what i do in my personal life with people from work, if I stay mysterious it will help me work wise in the long run. I have been screwed over by coworkers that i let get to know me, way more often than ones I hardley talk to. I will keep my business associats distant from my home life in the hopes it will help me at work. It sucks, but that is the path I must walk for now.
Well that is about it for the current moment, I am glad i got a chance to wright a few lines here, it helped me to wake up. I hate computer based training, best to throw me into the fire and make me figure my way out rather than going this way, it would keep my attention better. Shalom everyone.

Sitting in Lexington KY, killing time. I have spent the day cleaning out my car, shopping for needed stuff, took a nap, and then working out. currently waiting on a movie to download (4 hours since I started downloading, and still going) So now I am sitting outside the clubhouse of my new apartment, using the wifi, and waiting.
I am going to go to the Universal Unitarian church tomorrow and see what is up with them. and then I have no idea how to spend the rest of the day. but it is better than sleeping all weekend. Bout it for me. the title of this blog relates to to a song bu Usef... formerly known as Cat Stevens. " Another Saturday night and I ain't go nobody, I got some money cuz I just got paid. oh how I wish I had someone to talk to, I'm in a awful way." bout says it all for me.

New Job, and possabaly a new life

Hey Everyone,

OK, So I am In Lexington, running calls with Rick, One of the team leaders here at IKON. I have received a laptop, a EDGE device and a cell phone. Talk about organised, I am up and running with everything I need besides parts. Those will come as soon as I have my own tech number. All in all these people run a tight ship, and I am really excite to be a member of there team. I am a little unsure of these Canon models, (and I also learning that Ricoh copiers are not as good as I thought). I have a lot to learn in a short time and so I am doing my best.
I was staying in a hotel all week, I am not out of the hotel, and carrying all my stuff in the car again. I am going to sign for the apartment, but the power may not be turned on until Monday. it would suck to spend a weekend in a apartment with no power. So I may be returning to Dalton GA this weekend just to avoid that. I also am not looking forward to staying in a apartment with only a air mattress and a small pillow for the next 2 weeks. A uncomfortable situation at best, but I will abide and hope it is all worth it.
Lexington is a great town, I visited a little bookstore down off of campus called Sqecial media, it has many different religious books of all faiths. one thing I really wanted was the bumper sticker that read "My god is too big for only one religion" that is good, says how i feel very well, but I wont put it on my car. Too many religious nuts out there to give ammo to.
So that is my story, please continue to pray for me and my family, and go visit my wife and Bro-in-law this weekend, they are having a garage sale and getting rid of stuff before the move, including some stuff that I would prefer to keep. But I am not there to stop them so go grab my stuff when I cant tell them not to sell it. Have a great weekend everyone.

I am heading out to KY today to start my new job. Found a apartment in town that will be way too small compaired to my current residence, but it will work as it is only a 6 mo deal, and I will be buying a house when it ends. it is in the City map is Here. it will do for the time being.
I will be staying in a extended stay hotel for the next week till the apartment is opened and cleaned. Reviews of the appartments are not good, but again it is just 6 mo.
So today I leave for my new life. I will return on most weekends of the next month. if you want a chance to se me while I am down here, call me. I wold be glad to catch up with everyone before I leave.
So that is the word people, So long GA and say hey to a KY man (pun intended) :)

And So Life Changes

hey everyone,

I know I have not updated often, or recently because I had no idea where my life was going.... Now I know where, but still figuring out the how.
I have a new position I am starting on March 2ND in Lexington KY for IKON. I am going to do the Trifecta of company's bought by Ricoh. So that being said, i have to turn in all my tech when i leave this job on Friday. No Laptop, (home computer is grounding out on something), No Blackberry, no cell phone (besides the wife's). I have to turn in my inventory, tools and other things as well. I am excited and yet worried about all this, but I know it will all work out.
I am bummed that I will not be here for the band "One Source", or for all the things i had planned in Scouts and with the SAL, (sons of the American Legion). I did so many cool things with those organizations and with the people I met doing them, and I will definitely miss all of them. I am planing on staying in contact with most of them through E-mail and phone calls. I have met some wonderful people, and I will miss them. But in these times, (as in any times) I have to worry about income, and my family, and I feel this is the best thing to continue to support them.
Please continue to pray for me and my family as we make this life changing transition, and if you are one of the friends I have mentioned above, please don't write me off, or stop calling me. I will miss each and every one of you. I will be back on the tech waggon after the move, or as soon as I fix the computer or buy another one. I will have access to my E-mail though my wife's phone, so continue to write. Once I am back up I will send out another blog to everyone, here.... and this page will get a small update as well. Later days all!

Family and American Legion Stuff

Hey all,
Going out with the family today to hob nob around chattanooga, go to a fabric store (none in dalton for some reasion) and then come back home, make dinner and go to band practice tonight around 6:30 - whenever. Want to get my bass fixed, it has a peice broken (the nut for the people that know what I am talking about) the rest works, but one of the guys in the band works as a repair guy and will make e a new one if I bring my bass, so that is what I am doing tonight. Then church on sunday, and getting our car for pinewood derby cut out on monday. I love that my regular life is still going, and I should hear from the Lexington job by early this comming week. I am sure the delay is due to the ice storm that is rocking there world up that way.
Also my Sons of the American Legon post 112 here in Dalton won the Kerby Kepler award for helping vetrans, it is a national award given out to the best squad report in the country, big stuff in the leagion for us. So I will post a picture of us with the award once I get a chance. Hope everything is good out there in computer land. have a great day!!

Something is Knocking

Hey all,

I have the interview tomarow. I am going to drive strait there (leave at 6am, arrive around noon) and do the interview. Then a drive home, and i will stop if i get tired. Yay, 10+ hours driving. I know I am going to get a offer, but I am not sure if i will take it. If they do offer more money, I guess I will be taking the job. should be a interesting day tomorrow.
So that is what is going on, whatever happens in the next 30+ Hours will determine what is happening to me and my family for the rest of my life. No pressure or anything. Check here or with my twitter updates to find out more. Also if I take this new job, I will lose the laptop and blackberry I use to do updates to this blog. The home computer is also offline currently as well, bad main board. I may be able to repair it but I will need some supplies to do that. Everyone have a great week, and wish me luck.

well January has been strange, we have been understaffed at work for the past 2 weeks, And I have been sick for the last 2 days.
I did have some good news on the job front, I have a interview next week Friday in Lexington KY for a high end color tech position with IKON. It could be a great opportunity for me. I will drive up there and check the place out. I have as many questions of them as they are likely to have of me. this may be the job I have been looking for. I also got a call from a IT staffing company in Indianapolis, I have to call them tomorrow and see what they have to offer.
That is about it for me right now, remember my wife's b-day is next week wed. she will be over 30 soon. :)

New Year, Oh Dear!

Hey all,

I am still recovering from the new years cold, If I get my one cold a year out of the way early, it will make the whole year easier. So I have been a bit sick the last few days, but I am already feeling better. Did not do much for the new year, went to dinner with the Grey hairs at cracker barrel, came home, went to bed. I do have some resolutions, and If I put them on here, they may mean more... so here goes. 1. get a new job - duh. 2. lose weight, I think getting down to 250 is a good start. 3. finish the rehab on the knee, even 1 year out it is still not back up to 100%. and 4. become a better musician. Last but not least though it may be the easiest, 5. I want for Skyler (with my help) to finish his wolf badge for scouts before the end of January.

These are not imposable, I know that the last is going to be easy, the first maywill mean moveing, 2 and 3 are connected, doing to work for one will lead to the other. and number 4, very doable, just pick up the Bass and practice.

I may have a chance to buy some speakers for my PA, (church bought new) something I would love to do, then just a moniter and it is ready for whatever I need it for. I want to have a total setup at my house so I can have people come over and jam without haveing to bring anything. (this is including the equipment that is out of state being added, the piano and bass amp are required) oh and a drum set too, but that is for another year, or at least another house. Cant stop a dreamer!!

On the job front I did get a call for a job in Lexington KY, just a lead, still waiting on the service manager there to call. I would be working on the high volume copiers, both color and black and white. so 90 CPM and higher B&W and the big production color printers. it would also be a small raise for me, I put down I wanted 50k and they talked about 44k, not bad. that would put me ahead on my financial success meter (makeing 1k per year I am alive would pay basic expenses, I could earn 34k and make ends meet, but not thrive) I am hopefull, lexington is closer to Michigan and Indiana where my and my wifes familys are from, and make visiting more frequent, ie 3 or 4 times a year instead of once a year. (and likely a drop off of the kids at the grandparents every summer for a week or so) that would make everyone in my family very happy.

On the Socuts thing, My focus for the next bit is on Skyler makeing it to wolf ASAP! I have been focusing on the whole pack this whole year, and with the possibility of not being here to see them graduate. I am thinking about what would happen if we moved, and thus Skylers move up the ranks is the most important, and the rest of the den second. so I made a list, he is already more than half way there, and a little nudge form me is all he needs to go over the top. He is cooking a meal for the family tonight, we are haveing chicken drumsticks and corn on the cob, cooked on the grill by Skyler, in the rain. I will advise him of course, and a good meal will be had by all. a few discussions on some topics he may not be prepared for, and that is it. Most kids are not ready to explain what duty to god is, and how to do your duty. noone ever said being a scout was easy.

Well I could ramble on all day it seams, best I get off this thing, refill my coffie and get on with the day. Happy New Year to everyone.

Well it is about time! If the New England Patroits can go 16-0 then why cant the lions go 0-16 (0-17 they lost the last game of last year). So they finaly completed the goal of the Ford Family, the worst team of ALL TIME!!! I dont even blame the players, this is management from start to finish. alot of these players could go somewhere else and play and do a great job, but the owners and the coaches have gutted this team on defense, and they think they could still win. Just a pridiction, next year they will use there 1st round draft pick on...... a wide reciever. I see a 3-13 season next year, which up till this year, I thought was the worst a team could do. thanks Lions for proving me wrong.

Hi Yall,

First I would like to say happy Solstice! All rejoice at the return of the sun, the life giver of our planet! It is sure a cold day here in Georgia, temps are in the teens and I had to put the liner in my leather jacket. It was a great weekend and I am looking forward to a wonderful Yule/Christmas/Hanukkah whatever your religion likes to call it.

First thing on my mind from this weekend is music. Visited Dave Simms place on Friday to lay down a bass line on the songs we are working on. (Dave's My Space page is here) had a great jam with him and got one track put down. That song is sounding good, cant wait till we get the drummers track down and start finalising it. We are planing on recording the Piano part this weekend (Pam's My space page is here) on Friday or Saturday, then we send them out to the drummer and get his take on the stuff, then back to us for final tracks with his drum part in the background, lots better than the click track we are working with now. Most of the songs we are working with are written by Tyler (his my space is here) These are some talented people and I am lucky to be playing with them. We have hopes for this thing going somewhere, and regret that soon I may not be able to play with these people. But things being what they are, if a opportunity comes up, move I will. But we had a great practice on Sunday after church, The drummer Joe and I put down a groove that we rocked on for a half a hour and then we reworked a song to be a bit faster. Great times!

Second thing I want to talk about is my family, got to hang out with them for a while on Saturday. my wife bought a video game and sold it to my youngest. So we spent most of Saturday, playing "Lego Indiana Jones". The boys had a great time with that, and we watched "Home Alone" because my wife thought it would be good for my oldest to see how a kid can be self reliant without his parents. we snuggled and played and had a good time! So looking forward to giving them gifts and playing with them during this upcoming 4 day weekend! Between us, Santa, and my parents I am sure they will have a great day.

Well I best be getting off of this thing, stuff to do. so if I don't get a chance to get on here again, everyone have a Christmas and new year!

Wierd Tuesday

Today I drove up to Knoxville for my company christmas party. We had to bring our own food, the cheap bastards. It made for a unusuial day since I am planing on leaving soon. I felt like part of the group, and yet it is a club I will not belong to for long. It was great to have a day out of the field and not have to run calls for a bit.

I did piss off my team leader, he was moveing parts from the storage shead this morning and takeing them up to the meeting. He did not ask me to help, but acording to his memory he told me to go by there and get what was left. When he learned that I did not bring the remaining parts, he stormed around the office and threw a fit. one of my fellow tech's said "boy that was uncalled for". So he is pissed, the service call I ran for him this morning, I did not have the parts required, so I got them from another tech, and took those parts to him and said "this is for that call I went to this morning for you." and he handed me the part back and told me to do it. I think I am going to see how close to the edge I can push him before I leave. He has had a very bad attitude when dealing with me since I came back from my surgery. blatantly rude and condesending at best. I will start trying to bug him once something is final, and see if I can make him snap. The last thing I need is to have some guy that I work with giveing me grief up till the time I leave. I have too many other things to worry about. I do know that I am not going to push myself too hard to help him anymore. I will back up the other tech's but he is not officaly on my shit list.

Other than all that, a great day to hang out with some nice people and bullshit about work without accualy doing any work. I have a few things to do tomarow, but nothing difficult. it should be a great day!

Just sunday

Hey all,

Went to church today, played a new song with the church band. We have officially changed the name of the band from "Clear River Praise and Worship Team" to "One Source" we worked on the song "just breathe" and also worked on the song "Tell Another Story" once we get a suite together we will be patenting the music and recording it. Basically it is still christian rock, but from the standpoint of our church, which is practically new age and christian thought together. So me and the boys did that while my wife stayed home and worked on a few things. She was up with our recent house guest all night, so she needed some rest. And then me and the boys ran some errands (Christmas gifts and general stuff) then came home.

Got to chance to chat with a few family members this weekend, my father is going into surgery for his knee on Tuesday. they are going to fix up the problems he has been having with it, but he will be laid up for a bit. My cousin has recently been laid off, he expected this to happen since it has happened every year so no worries there. All in all it has been a great weekend! hope everyone is doing well. Saterday of sleep deprivation

Hey everyone, Had a friend out last night and we were up till the wee hours tipping back the bottle. I like to drink, but I listen to the signs that say "dont take another drink" and our company did not pay heed to the voices. so a late night of keeping her from falling into the fishtank. her daughter and my son stayed up till 4 or later, so he is currently crashed out in the back. Dinner is cooking and my wife and my youngest are watching cartoons. had a great time, but some friends you need to learn that it is time to hide the bottle. good times, good times.

So today is my brothers 37th B-day, the old fart. so much love to him way up in Michigan. soon my wife will get older as well, turning 31 in January. Boy are we starting to get old, cant keep doing what we did last night. So looking forward to tomarow, love going to church. THen it is a pizza party at scouts and promotions as well. and Tuesday I am out of the field, and up to Knoxville for what may be my last chance to hang with my current co-workers. the part that sucks is I cant tell them I am looking. baaaahhhhh. ok well everyone enjoy the rest of the weekend.

It's just a rainy day

Hi everyone,

I am home finaly, a day of driving in the rain. I am good at fixing stuff, and I move quick. I did a Dalton, Chattanooga, Dayton, Cleveland, Dalton run today. Dont mind the drive really, Rain makes it a chore but I was able to pull it off. There was this great oment when I crossed back into Georgia when the clouds broke and sunlight filled the sky. I love it when the sun shines right after a storm. even the air smells as if was washed, and everything is clearer. Just like lifes storm's I guess, I am just entering into a storm and I am focusing on the clear skys I see in the distance. I am not sure of where on the horision I will be once I get past the storm, but I am sure it will be the right place for me to be. Shalom everyone. Holiday shopping

For some reason it feels like your soul is being ripped out through your wallet every year at this time. The blatant consumerism at every turn, the over stocked and over staffed stores, pretending to care, hoping to suck the last of the precious dollars from your pocket. The tv and general media using every tool they have, turning your kids against you, bombarding you with the impression that you must spend and buy for every person you know. I hate the session for this, and I am not alone, many people are depressed at this time of year, and who can blame them with this kind of stuff going on. Despite all of that, every year there is a shining moment, where just for a few minutes, everything seams right in the world, and you wish the moment could last forever. That is usually 5 minutes before your kids declare that they are totally board with the gifts you have spent all your money on. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

More on the music thing

I in no way intend to put music before my job search. It may have seemed that way from my last post. Music is my release, and having to do it for income could take some of the joy out of it. Though having a little green to spend back into new equipment and all that would be fun. I really do want to find the right job, and my main focus is that. I really can see myself as a network admin or a copier tech with another company in the next month or so. I just know it will work out for me. I am getting the vibe from the wife that she is worried about this job thing, But I know it will be a smooth transition, and I will be making more money. Bank on it! No fear, uplifting faith and enduring confidence in me and my family. Out.

Keeping Positive

Today I am doing my best to stay movated in this job search, though there are some dbouts as to if we should do it at all. I am keeping busy at work, lots of driving today and most likely tomorrow as well. But keeping my perfect job in my thoughts just seams hard today. I know It is out there for me, waiting for me to find it. Do I really want to stay here in chattanooga now that the band thing is taking off? If I do move I am sure I can find musicians any where I go.
Listening (not watching) a dvd in my car called "lightning in a bottle"it is a musical exploration of the Blues. Great dvd though most people will never hear of it. Amazing what you can find in a discount rack. But this dvd has kept me tapping my toe and singing along all day. My true love is Music, it is my passion and when I am playing I am in my happy place. I would love to play music for a living! I don't want to be someone that regrets, but I sometimes wonder what would have happened to my life if I did major in music. There have been musicians I have played with in the past that could have gone far, usually in different bands. A drummer from one, a guitar player from another, etc. None of them ever went anywhere, but I enjoyed playing with all of them, and I have progressed and learned from every musician I have played with. I would like to thank everyone I have had the pleasure to jam or perform with for there continued friendship, and the fun we had. Best get back to work, scouts tonight and all that. Later days.

Clear River teaching center

Had our big christmas time get together and eat thing like all good churches do down here today. Had a chance to hang out and break bread with everyone, and had some of the strate folks come out of the woodwork to see what we do there. Not sure if they were driven away or will come back. The band did ok, We worked on a few songs after the service and played for a few hours. I had to leave early, My wife decided to open up to the pastor and let him know what is going on in her life, and totaly emotionaly drained herself.

She is carrying alot of emotional weight these days. Her step-dad's job, My brother loseing his job, her brother dropping out of school, her grandma fighting breast cancer for the second time, her brother breaking up with his girl of 8 years, her dad and his health problems and his legal problems, and all his stuff, and the aneversery of the death of her grandparents, all of which in this holiday season. it can upset anyone if they dont stay busy, and most times she does not stay busy. I worry about her bit I know the only thing that will help her out of this funk is her. even me getting a new job will not pull her out of it, though it would help. if you are religious, pray for her, if you are not, just think of her in a positive light.

I do have a dream that I can have a band and make money with it, and I told one of my band members my plans and he talked briefly about the people in the church band getting a name and recording the songs that we have all written. a few of them are prolific writers and have some realy good stuff. But with how slow those type of things tend to roll, It would take months to get that ball rolling and If a offer to work comes up in another town, I will take it and move. Still, it could be a good thing if it just starts to happen.

Well that is about it for today, back to work tomarow morning. hope everyone is enjoying there holidays, despite all the problems I am running into, I am still enjoying life and havening a good time. my love to my friends.

We have a covered dish dinner at church tomarow and we are going to work on a new song my pal Tyler has written. should be a fun time there. besides that we are just keeping on and discussing the future. I know now I have to leave my current job after discussing it with my wife. We need to get closer to Michigan due to health reasons with our familys. Also I do not feel appricated at my current job so it is time to move on again, this time to a better orginised company, and hopefully more money. I know that the perfict job for me is out there . Big trouble for a little boy

My oldest got grounded today for telling lies to me and my wife. One week in his room. Pretty harsh for a 8 year old, but he needs to learn this lesson. Only 3 hours into the first of 5 nights and he is already asking to come out. I told him to listen to music, and read another book. He could also clean his room. What he did goes against all we have taught him so far, and especially against what he has learned as a scout. WOW, as i type this he has pulled down his American Indian bamboo flute and is trying to play it. he has not touched it since we bought it this summer. maybe he will learn something from this besides that he should not lie to his folks.
Last thing and then I will log off. Georgia had a election today for senator between Chablis(R) and Martin(D). the outcome could sway the senate from 59/39 Dem to republican, to the Filibuster proof majority of 60/40. I for one voted for Martin with the hopes that maybe if we give some power to the Dem's, they can get some real change passed. But after seeing who Obama had selected for most of his cabinet positions, I don't think it matters... looks like business as usual just like we have gotten from the Dem's for the last 20+ years since Carter. Corporate power under the Dem's is the same as corporate power under the republicans, only difference is the republicans invite them in the front door of the white house, and the Dem's sneak them in the back. Hope everyone is having a great Christmas time. I know mine is not what I planed, but will work out in the end.

Sunday is Funday

Well we passed on church this week, wanted to get some stuff done. Needed new lights for the christmas tree and needed grocerys and clean laundry and stuff like that. We'll get a cd of the sermon we missed next week. Haveing a big dinner after church next week and of course the band will jam and people will have a good time.
So tonight we put up lights, and we made hamburgers for us and the kids, put away groceries, and worked on one of Logans homework assignments. What we do is every month we make a family project, and it gets desplayed at the school for the whole month. We started with Cloth as the medium, me and the boys figure out what we will do, we cut out the peices, and my wife will sew it all together. Well we procrastinated the whole thanksgiving break and did not finish it. peices are cut out (just finished) but it is due tomarow morning. not going to get done, we are whiped out already. So we will finish with the tree's lights and hit the bed. Once you see the pictures of the work we have done on previous ones and on this one, you will see why it takes about 6 hours of work to make this project. I will upload a few pictures of the earlier work, for everyone to see. About all for today, hope everyone had a great long weekend, and looking forward to a great yule season.

Well the video I uploaded lags so bad you cant hear how it ends, so I am not posting it here. Anyway.... My Boys got out of bed so early so they would not miss the Macys Thanksgiving parade, they are 2 hours early. So i am up and waiting for it to start. Heck, I dont want to be up till I watch the lions lose today. I am so looking forward to this loss. At this point they are 0 for 10. yes they are a winless team. very hard to do that for a whole season and I am hopeing they can pull it out and not win a game all year. If you are going to suck at something, may as well suck bettter than anyone else in the world, and for all time. be the worst in history of the game. That is my Detroit Lions. They are playing the Titans, the only undefeated team. a great blowout for the world to see on this holiday.

Cub Scouts and other fun stuff

OK, Yesterday was monday, had to go out to Blue ridge GA up through ducktown (a quacking good place to live) and then back through cleveland. Attempted to make it to Athens TN but the highway turned into a parking lot and I never made it. had to turn around, go home and then went there today.

Last night was cub scouts night and we had the cubmaster show up for the first time in about a month or more. He delivers mail and is very tired on most mondays, so alot of times does not make it to scouts. when he is there he is very good. when not..... well he is not there so as a cubmaster he is totaly ineffective. haveing a debate with the wife about starting our own Pack, maybe.... but for now I just lead 11 boys in being wolf cubs. Most of the stuff they have to learn that I can teach them is done (need to work with some hand tools and build stuff.... a outside flag raising.... about it. So last night was just fun stuff. Played 3 games, "wheres the ball?" "rooster fight" and "blind man's treasure" and I had the whole pack, not just my den playing. it is a heck of a lot of fun.

The wife did not attend, she was on a cleaning spree and I am all about that. me and the boys had fun. I think she is worried about geting sucked into a position, she was pulled into doing a leadership roll as Webelos leader last year, and we need a tiger leader this year and she is not to hip on filling that roll. Cant blame her, alot of 1st graders and alot of planing goes into that program. it can be very trying and time consuming. so she decided to just not show up for a few months to see if another parent will stand up and do the job. So far no luck, and most of those scouts have quit. bummer, best way to get boys is hook em young, just ask the church. Anyway that is my installment for today. picture is of my boys, and Brett who is the the cubmasters son, at out fundraiser last month. post again when I can.

Hi everyone,
I am sure that not many peole are going to read this as I post it, but This is a begining. The begining of my blog, my online ramblings and basicaly of me putting myself out there to the world. Not sure how this will all turn out but I am sure ready to try, and we can all see where it goes from here.
Had a strange day, got a speeding ticket (late to church, floored it, made even later by the officer) My Son decided to pull a chip out of a sample bag at the grocery store, lick it, and put it back. So we had to leave there. The wife was pissed, and I was trying to not let her or my son see me chuckel. that is some funny stuff there if it was not such a bad thing for health reasons. All in all a OK day that most people would say was horrable. I just dont want to look at it that way. I have decided to have a great day anyway, and so far so good. I am haveing a good time with this blog at least. Anyway, signing off for now.
